SUPPORTIVE SILENCE RETREAT
Galilee Centre in Arnprior (40 minutes West of downtown Ottawa)
2 Nights | Sunday November 17 - Tuesday November 19, 2019

Many people would benefit from a silent retreat, but may be intimidated by the rigorous schedule of some lineages. I wanted to create a space for people to taste the benefits of silence and meditation while feeling cared for in a gentle atmosphere. This retreat includes a variety of supportive practices, including formal meditation, but also accessible yoga, yoga nidra (guided yogic sleep) and self-care Ayurvedic practices.

This is a two-night residential retreat at the tidy and spacious Galilee Centre in Arnprior, Ontario. An easy drive from downtown Ottawa, the airport or train station.

Rates + Registration:

$275 for a private room with shared bathroom.

This retreat is offered in the spirit of dana practice, a Buddhist term meaning generosity. Offerings provided in dana practice acknowledge that everyone should have access to the teachings, regardless of their financial situation. This allows a broader range of people to access programs without undue financial burden while providing sustainable support for teachers.

How does dana work?

Your $275 deposit covers all material costs for attending the retreat. By paying this fee you reserve your space and cover your lodgings, meals and any material expenses required to run the retreat (credit card fees, etc). If you want to come on a retreat and this fee causes undue financial burden, please be in touch to discuss. I want you to come on retreat.

As the retreat closes, there will be an opportunity to offer dana based on what you can afford. This is payment to me for my teaching work and is offered anonymously (unless you choose otherwise) and received with so much gratitude. Guidelines will be provided for deciding how much feels right. You will receive more guidance in your “welcome to retreat” email.

NOURISH + CONNECT YOGA RETREAT
Shanti Retreat on Wolfe Island
3 Nights | Thursday August 8 - Sunday August 11, 2019

Look out at the water or lift your face toward sunshine and you feel a deeply felt truth: the resonance of connection. But it doesn’t come without the effort of doing less, of reveling in slowing down and breathing deep. Refilling the well is essential to finding these moments on retreat and in daily life.

Join me for a retreat inspired by the nourish + connect workshop to create space for wellness and restoration. It's an all-levels yoga experience that combines all-levels yoga, with slower flows, gentle, yin and restorative yoga practices, gorgeous hyper-local meals that are lovingly prepared, treats, and a healing atmosphere. We’re going to create a special time together; you’ll leave feeling fresh and rested.

Shanti Retreat is an easy drive from Toronto or Ottawa, and is located on picturesque Wolfe Island – a short ferry ride outside Kingston, Ontario. Entering their 16th season, their facilities and staff offer an incredible experience for such value.
